Maria was always my biggest dream, before she was born, I had to wait 3 long years so that God would send me this little ray of light to my life. When she arrived, my life changed. She filled all of my being. When the doctor gave me the diagnostic, the world crumbled upon me, but I shook my sadness away and filled myself with courage. It was never hard for me to take care of her, but I felt tired. That’s when the doctor referred my daughter to VIVA Pediatrics and they were for my daughter, a hope and a magnificent quality of life. I now have a nurse I consider part of my family. It’s because of my nurses, the magnificent care, respect and quick response that VIVA Pediatrics provides that I wouldn’t trust any other company with the care of my little one.

My peers and I have swapped horror stories of first jobs with inadequate training, orientation promises not kept, unsafe nurse to patient ratios, and situations of very little patient care and very much paperwork. Now, I am proud to tell my peers that Viva Pediatrics requires testing and check-offs, provides trach and vent training, ample training and orientation on new cases, and no pressure to take cases that put nurses or patients at risk. Viva is allowing me a great opportunity to transition from teaching children with special needs to nursing children with special needs, and I am extremely grateful!
